MILWAUKEE (July 21, 2010) - NAI MLG Commercial is pleased to announce that Leslie Montemurro, Scott Johnson and Kristyn St. Denis (operating as 1935 Water, LLC) have purchased a 2,851 SF building located at 1935 N. Water Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1935, LLC.

Jeno Cataldo of NAI MLG Commercial represented the buyer and the seller in the transaction.

The group plans to open a “California-style cantina” in the former Good Life restaurant space. The Bel Air Cantina will offer items such as ahi tuna tacos with wasabi cabbage, carne asada, carne al pastor, burritos, salads and tamales. They will also have vegetarian and vegan options. The drink menu will feature a wide array of tequilas and specialty margaritas.

Montemurro says that she thinks of the restaurant more as a taqueria with healthy and original recipes and California surf culture décor, rather than a Mexican restaurant.

The building doesn’t need much work, but the owners say that they will not be in any rush to open their restaurant. They want to take their time and make sure to get things right from the beginning. Bel Air Cantina is slated to open in September 2010, with hopes that the patio can entertain guests for the last few weeks of summer and into fall.

Montemurro and Johnson also own Balzac, Comet, Fuel, Hi-Hat and Palomino.
